Cooper Webb and Christophe Pourcel round out the podium while James Stewart crashes out and limps away.
Despite the Paris attacks the night prior, there were still over 20,000 spectators who filled the Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille for night one of the Paris Lille Supercross. Weston Peick and Cooper Webb dazzled French fans with a battle for the lead, with Peick emerging the winner. Christophe Pourcel rounded out the podium in third on night one.
Many were expecting to see the James and Malcolm Stewart battle for the win, but James’ night was riddled with crashes.
James topped the Superpole ahead of Pourcel with Malcolm following in third, but from there it was downhill.
After crashing in his heat race, James came together with his brother Malcolm in the main event and went down. James limped back to the pits while Malcolm rode around to finish last.
